Dental health during and after cancer therapy is important. Common infections of the teeth and gums may become dangerous health hazards. Radiation, high-dose chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant and medications affect parts of the body not directly associated with the specific disease. Turmeric is an Indian spice often used to treat cancer. In traumatic brain injury stroke or Alzheimers, curcumin can be protective. Cinnamon may be a good adjuvant treatment for diabetes. Ginger has been used with chemotherapy to reduce nausea and osteoarthritis. Genistein, Lycopene, Flaxseed and Lingans also have healh properties.
